My name is Peter Phair I’m the Executive Director here at Waterville Area Habitat for Humanity, located here in Waterville, Maine. This ReStore helps with our efforts to provide permanent, affordable housing for low-income families and we do that in multiple ways with lots of volunteers. We try to have a lot of materials donated, like windows. In the process of our builds, that helps to keep our costs down. The more costs we can keep down, we pass those savings to our homeowners and that translates in a low monthly mortgage payment and that’s how they can afford to stay in their homes.
